Description
William was born in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire on 23.10.1898 and enlisted in the R.N.A.S. at Blanford 8.4.1918, trade a turner. B.E.F. 2.5.1918 ‘H’ establishment 13.11.1919. Joined the Police Force 27.4.1920 and served until discharged at his own request 30.11.1952 rank Inspector.
During his service he had been rewarded twice and complemented on 5 occasions for efficiency in rendering First Aid. He was also complemented for courageous action at the rising of Hockley Brook. No adverse reports are recorded against him. He was qualified to work with the Civil Defence including as an instructor.
Highley commended Person’s factory break in6.4.1949. Sold with excellent copied record in which he was very highly though of. A copy picture in uniform dated 1940.
