Description
Peter first served in the 26th Foot (he first appears in the 2nd battalion Camerons). A recruit from the Linlithgow District on 15.9.1803 and transferred as a volunteer to the 2nd battalion 92nd Foot in 1806. He is found in the musters in Portugal September to December 1811. Transfering to the 1st battalion were reserved in Portugal and Spain until September 1813, France September to December 1813. May to September sick in the regimental hospital France and later Fermoy, Ireland.
16th June reported killed but rejoined 17th. Discharged 20th June 1817, noted in the out pensioners register 25th 1817. He lived in Perth and died 17th January 1845.
