The 92nd were present at Quatra Bras on the 16th of June and suffered 20 officers either killed or wounded and 260 men killed or wounded.
William served in Captain Winchesters Company who was both wounded Quatra Bras and Waterloo.
At the battle of Waterloo 18th June 1815, the 92nd joined the charge of the Royal Scots Grays, many of the men grabbing the stirrups of the Greys and hitching a lift from the Cavalrymen, they lost another 116 men on the day.
