Description
Born 1874 Monkwearmouth, Sunderland and enlisted from the 3rd battalion D.L.I about 20.4.1895. He served in Gibraltar, Egypt, Crete and South Africa. He is also entitled to a Khedive Sudan medal with clasp Khartoum and a Q.S.A. with 3 clasps and a K.S.A. with 2 clasps. Discharged 17.4.1907, reenlisted 12.8.1914 for the Great War. He served in various regiments the Labour Corps and R.A.F. Home 16 King Street, Southwick, Sunderland. He died age 68 years 20.4.1942.
