Description

John Johnson was born in Ballymena, Antrim and enlisted 7.3.1890 having previously served in the 5th battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers for 42 days. Saw service in India 2.9.1892 to 11.2.? Discharged to reserve, recalled 1899 then posted to South Africa 1.4.1900.

Discharged medically unfit 20.1.1901. Medal roll shows discharged to England ‘invalid’ Clasps confirmed and additionally entitled to South Africa 1901 clasp.
