Description
Private Finlay Mc’Neil, of the 2nd Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders, is confirmed on the roll, with entitlement to an additional clasp ‘S.A.1901’. He was captured by Boer forces at Swalkrantz on 4 June 1900 as confirmed by ‘The Boer War Casualty Roll, 1899-1902’ by Palmer, released, and later sent home ‘time expired’ on 24 June 1901.
