Severely wounded in action at Paardeberg 18.2.1900. Born Reading, Berks 1879. Served in India 1890 -1898, South Africa 1899 to 1902. Awarded the India General Service Medal 1895 with clasp Punjab Frontier and a king’s South Africa Medal with the 2 clasps. March 1928 admitted as an pensioner at The Royal Hospital Chelsea, died there March 1930 age 60 years.
