Description
J. James was wounded at Paardeberg on 19 February 1900 whilst serving with the 1st Battalion, Welsh Regiment. Paardeberg was the largest and longest battle of the War and severest Boer defeat. The Welsh suffered 10 killed and 70 wounded in this battle. Also entitled South Africa 1901 clasp.
