Rifles Militia Badge, Irish, South Mayo, Glengarry circa 1874-81. A fine die-stamped white metal example. Resting in a shamrock wreath, a crowned oval inscribed ‘South Mayo Rifles 15’, Arms of the Maquis of Sligo to the centre. Two original lead soldered loops to reverse. EF
