Description
John Slater, Royal Marine served aboard H.M.S Impregnable at the battle of Algiers 27th August 1816. This ship took probably the largest number of casualties in the battle including 10 marines killed and 21 wounded (a total of 182 officers, seamen and marines).
There are 3 men of this name on the Colin Message roll one a 3-clasp medal and the other a battle of Trafalgar none of which have previously been recorded as on the market.
