Henry Thomas Phillips was born in 1867 in Bethnal Green, he attested for the Bedfordshire Regiment 5th November 1885, at the age of 18 having previously been a Cabinet Maker. He fought in South Africa having been recalled under special army order of 20.12.99 receiving £6. 15. 0 as a South African War Gratuity. Entitled to Cape Colony and Orange Free State Clasps on his Queens South Africa. Sold With copied research.
