Description
Private Sydney Poyzer born1872, Stathern, near Grantham, enlisted at Inverness on 14 December 1891, having previously worked as a Baker. He served during the Nile Expedition of 1898 and was present at the battles of Atbara and Khartoum (entitled Queen’s Sudan Medal). He also served during the Boer War, spending two and a half years in South Africa and some time at home prior to his discharge in December 1903 (entitled Q.S.A.).
