Description
Sold with copy roll page, the 84th (York and Lancaster) Regiment of Foot played a pivotal role in the 1857 Indian Mutiny, heavily involved in both the relief and subsequent defense of the Lucknow Residency. Known for extreme bravery, they suffered heavy casualties in Havelock’s battles before taking part in the first and second reliefs of Lucknow.
