George was born in Rawalpindi, India and enlisted age 19 years, 3 months 6.4.1892 having worked as a labourer in the Royal Arsenal. Seargent 1.10.1901, Mounted Infantry 18.7.1901 Musketry Instructor 22.12.1902.
L.S. & G.C. 1.10. 1910 with gratuity, M.I.C. WW1 shows Silver War Badge list M.176, but no WW1 medals. Discharged 26.11.1919 having served 27 years, 235 days.
