Description
Born at Ryton, Co. Durham, near Newcastle upon Tyne and enlisted 14.5. 1814. Peter Ridley served with the 24th Foot for 12 years 6 months, including 7 years 11 months in the East Indies, and was admitted to an out-pension of 6d per diem, at Newcastle, on 26 November 1823. He died on 29 May 1851, aged 53.
