Description
Born March 1863 Kildare, enlisted in 1883, was Sergeant Major 7/K.R.R.C. (Militia) 1 April 1900. His M.S.M. was recommended by OC7/K.R.R.C. through OC Rifle Depot 8 February 1904. Total service 20 years 10 months with 15 years in the line.
Warrant Officer W.E.F. April 1900, 3 years 5 months service abroad in Hazara 1891, Miranzai 1891, and Isazai 1892. I.G.S. with 2 clasps confirmed on the roll, sold with copy roll page.
LS & G.C. 1902, his M.S.M although recommended in 1904, does not appear to have been awarded until late 1920 early 1930, awaiting dead men shoes as they say. Discharged 1908, only about 550 coinage heads awarded in total.
