Regiment, West Africa Frontier Force, in the expedition against the Chief of Tawari under Major A. W. G. L. Cole, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, 6 to 8 December 1900, and subsequently during the Kano-Sokoto campaign under Brigadier-General G. V. Kemball, 29 January to 27 July 1903.

Gordon states a total of 365 clasps with no date were awarded to The Northern Nigeria Regiment for service most likely in operations against the forces of BIDA and Kontagera under W. O’Neill R.A. from July to December 1900 or under Major G.V. Kemble 1900 to 1901
