Killed in action 1st July 1916 , the first day of the Battle of the Somme serving with the 22nd battalion Manchester Regiment.
Born Burnley Lancs and a coal miner, married Catherine Crook at Holy Trinity Church Blackburn. Sold with War Diary extracts and a named portrait sheet. A nice copy photo portrait and a Meek family photo. He landed in France 12.11.1915.
