Description
Belgium, Croix de Guerre London Gazette 15 April 1918. William Morgan was the son of Mrs. P. Morgan of 3 Selbourne Street, Rotherham. He served during the Great War with the Royal Engineers in the French theatre of war from 10 October 1915. Sergeant Morgan was serving with the 459th Field Company when he died of wounds on the Western Front, 29 October 1918. He is buried in the St. Souplet British Cemetery, Nord, France.
