Description
Samuel enlisted on 7th March 1912. He entered France on 19th August 1914, and served with 3rd Divisional Ammunition Column Royal Field Artillery as well as with 49th Reserve Battery Royal Field Artillery. He was discharged on 29th February 1916 with his cause of discharge noted as “Sickness 392 (xvi)”. He was issued with his Silver War Badge, number 200391, on 28th June 1917 with this noted on his M.I.C as being “forwarded by ‘the underground'” also that his clasp and roses were issued on 2nd June 1920, and the address is 9 Herrick Road, Riversdale Road, Highbury, N5. Sold with his dog tag.
